RNDDH staff across the country conducted…

  • 222 field observations of courts, hearings and criminal trials in order to monitor the overall functioning of the courts; and follow-up on specific cases documented during police station visits.
  • 276 systematic visits to police stations and sub-stations, in order to observe the overall functioning of the police stations , working conditions of police officers; status of individuals in police custody; and to document and record human rights violations.
  • 216 monitoring visits to  Haitian prisons in order to observe the overall functioning of the prison , working conditions of prison guards and/or other employees; living conditions of inmates; and to document and record human rights violations.
